Trigger Warnings: This story is told from the point-of-view of millennia-old, non-human, non-gendered beings—the alchemists. Therefore, the text uses the singular they/them for these characters. Likewise, to somehow convey this non-human nature, the prose leans towards being lyrical. You may find the alchemists’ descriptions somewhat odd and surreal, and their morals and goals different from humans’.
Overall, there are mentions of induced panic attacks and other extreme emotions. One storyline follows a healer, and there are mild descriptions of an array of wounds, including amputations, severe burns, and children choking. You will NOT find mentions of gender or racial violence.

Additional Details: This is a prequel novella in my universe titled Records of the Orders. A quirk of this universe is that it contains both books (like TGOC) and books-with-choices. The books-with-choices are always optional.
